Charity Bike Ride
David Williams, head of corporate business, trained hard in 2009 for a 700 mile bike ride raising over £6,000 for local charity, Cleansheet Foundation.
Twelve local business men and women are took part in the challenge each riding 700 miles. The cyclists set off from Hartpury College in September 2009 and crossed the finish line 3,500 miles away at a school rebuilding project near Gulu, North Uganda in October 2009.
The Cleansheet Foundation was established to give under-priveledged young adults the tools, training and experience enabling them a chance at a healthy, fulfilling life. The bike ride will fund a project in Uganda to rebuild a school and create a farm in the school grounds at Koch Goma.
