Hazlewoods achieve yet another record year in Health and Care in 2017

Hazlewoods Healthcare Corporate Finance Lead Advisory and Transaction Services teams have continued to see an increase in deal volumes in 2017. During the year, the team advised on 60 completed transactions valued at £408 million, representing an increase of 57% over 2016.

Deal flow remained high in 2017 despite the pressures and potential implications of back dated sleep-in payments, and the ongoing uncertainty on medium to long-term recruitment, as we still wait to see the shape of the agreement negotiated in leaving the EU.

The increase in deal flow has led to further expansion of the Health and Care team as the firm continues to provide specialist advice to small and mid-market businesses on a wide range of transactions. Clients are particularly interested in longer-term strategy and planning, often working with one to three year exit horizons.

Andy Brookes, Partner and Head of Health and Care commented, “2017 has been yet another fantastic year for the Corporate Finance team who have continued to deliver record results. The pipeline for 2018 remains strong as corporate acquirers continue to see the prospect for further growth and the potential benefits of further consolidation.”

The Corporate Finance team provide a variety of services, including merger and acquisitions, due diligence and business valuations, with colleagues who focus on delivering audit, accounting and tax advice to operators in the sector. The Health and Care team have been specialists in the sector for over 25 years and for the sixteenth consecutive year, are ranked the number one corporate finance adviser in sub £50m health and care transactions (http://www.experian.co.uk/marketiq) and are known for providing high quality independent professional advice.
