Competition for energy management in buildings

A competition by the Technology Strategy Board and the Research Councils’ UK Energy Programme is underway for collaborative projects in the field of energy management for existing buildings.  Up to £4 million will be available in respect of projects in order to significantly advance the capabilities of UK businesses in UK and global markets.

The collaboration should involve at least one business that provides energy management solutions and the competition encourages other members of the consortia to include potential customers of the project and any research organisations that are involved in the project.

The funding will be used primarily for industrial research (up to 60% of project costs) and further funding may available (up to 35%) where there is experimental development,

Applicants’ projects are expected to range between £300k to £1m although other projects may be considered.
