Hazlewoods is pleased to be sponsoring the 2016 Engineering Manufacturing Innovation Awards.
The Cotswold Life EMI Awards programme celebrates the thriving Cotswolds engineering and manufacturing sector, and the successful individuals working within it, across the region.
The full list of categories and criteria is available on the dedicated awards website: www.emiawards.cotswoldlife.co.uk
This year, Hazlewoods is again proudly sponsoring the ‘Best Research & Development Project’ where after a rigorous first round of judging, the finalists are:
- Oxford Advanced Surfaces Ltd, Begbroke: Onto™
- Poeton Industries Ltd, Gloucester: Apticote 340HT
- Snow Business International Ltd, Stroud: EcoFlake and ProFlake
The Cotswolds is particularly rich in aerospace, automotive, pharmaceutical and renewable energy companies, but many other sectors are also represented. The Cotswold Life EMI Awards support these important industries across Gloucestershire, Oxfordshire, Warwickshire, Wiltshire and Worcestershire.
The black tie awards gala dinner will be held at Cheltenham Racecourse on Thursday 22 September, where the 2016 winners will be announced.
Nicky Godding, Cotswold Life’s business editor, said: “There are thousands of large and small manufacturing and engineering businesses in the Cotswolds. There is also a lack of awareness as to the value and importance of this sector to our future economy. This awards programme celebrates the innovation and expertise that Cotswold engineering and manufacturing companies contribute to the UK economy and encourages more skilled people and young people to recognise the career opportunities available.
“We are delighted to have these awards sponsored by a diverse range of companies and organisations who offer their support to this sector.”
Hazlewoods has a specialist Innovation & Technology team, dedicated to supporting innovative businesses in the region with expert accounting and tax advice. David Clift of Hazlewoods commented “We are delighted to be supporting the EMI Awards and recognising the importance of innovation to the Cotswolds region and the value that it brings to our economy. We wish the best of luck to the three finalists in the Best Research and Development Project category and look forward to seeing them at the Awards.”
Last year’s black tie awards dinner sold out weeks in advance and was attended by over 400 of the good, the great and the entrepreneurial from across this innovative sector.
