We are delighted to announce new partner appointments in the firm.

The new partners comprise two internal promotions and two new recruits, and take the partner numbers to 24.

The internal promotions are Andy Harris and Richard Dade, who have been promoted to Associate Partner.

Andy joined Hazlewoods in 1997; he works with a variety of clients, with a particular emphasis on legal practices. He is co-author of the Law Society’s LMS Financial Benchmarking Survey, and lectures nationally on a variety of areas affecting the legal sector.

Richard has also worked at Hazlewoods for a long time, joining in 2002. He specialises in advising clients pursuing buy and build strategies, primarily in the Health and Care and Veterinary sectors, and is recognised nationally for his expertise.

James Morter started as a trainee with Hazlewoods 20 years ago and, after moving away from Cheltenham to progress his career to Partner with Grant Thornton, has returned as a Hazlewoods Partner to support the growing work in the firm’s corporate teams. James has a particular focus on entrepreneurial and private equity clients.

Lucie Hammond has joined as a Partner in the Farms and Estates team. She advises owner-managed businesses, private clients and trustees on business and taxation matters. The majority of Lucie’s clients are rural businesses including farms, landed estates and equestrian businesses.

Managing Partner, Jon Cartwright said: “We are so pleased to welcome these talented people to our team of partners at Hazlewoods. Andy and Richard have worked hard with us for many years, and their promotion is hugely deserved. Lucie and James also bring us a wealth of experience in their chosen areas.

There have been many other internal promotions at other levels too, and it is testament to everyone here that we are able to grow organically in this way.”
