Critical Environment Solutions Ltd (CES) is a £3m turnover company that specialise in the distribution of consumable products into cleanrooms and specialist manufacturing environments, supplying many different industry sectors including pharmaceutical manufacturers, medical device manufacturers, caterers and specialised precision engineers.
In June 2016, CES received an offer for 100% of its shareholding from Micronclean Ltd. With annual sales of £22 million, Micronclean are the UK’s largest supplier of cleanroom laundry services, employing more than 300 people across three processing sites and dedicated regional delivery hubs.
Andrew Holbrook, Managing Director of Critical Environment Solutions Ltd, said:
“The challenge was to complete the sale of the business by the end of June 2016. We recognised clearly that we required very proactive accounting and taxation support to advise on this transaction and Hazlewoods acted as the financial advisers to CES.
Paul Fussell (Hazlewoods Corporate Finance Partner) and his team at Hazlewoods worked diligently to ensure the support and advice was available in time for the completion target to be met. I found their advice was highly commercial and communicated promptly, clearly and in a language that myself and my co-shareholders could easily understand.
The completion deadline was achieved and the disposal of CES was completed on 30th June 2016.
Speaking on behalf of myself and my co-shareholders, we would like to place on file the excellent support provided by the team at Hazlewoods. We would have no hesitation of employing Hazlewoods again and would fully recommend them to any future client.”
