Hazlewoods Corporate Finance team are celebrating after being selected as finalists in the South West Business Leader Awards 2021.
Six firms, including Hazlewoods, beat off stiff competition to be shortlisted in the 'Advisory Firm of the Year' category.
Paul Fussell, Corporate Finance Partner, said: “We are thrilled to have been shortlisted; it reflects the team’s hard work, sector experience and dedication to our clients.”
Josh Dornbrack, Head of Multimedia and Content at Business Leader, offered his congratulations and said: “This is a huge achievement considering there were over 200 entries overseen by our judging panel.”
Winners in all categories will be revealed at a black-tie dinner at Ashton Gate, Bristol, on September 23, hosted by comedian, Tom Allen.
It will be the second award ceremony attended by the Corporate Finance team in eight days. On September 15, representatives from the firm will be at the Insider South West Dealmaker awards, also in Bristol, having been shortlisted for the fourth consecutive year in the 'Corporate Finance Advisory Team of the Year' category.
Earlier this month, Hazlewoods was ranked the 8th most active adviser in the UK in Experian’s latest Mergers and Acquisitions Report, demonstrating the impressive countrywide reach.
In the first six months of 2021, Hazlewoods experienced a 17.6% surge in the value of completed deals compared with the same period last year. Some 67 transactions, worth a total of £422 million, were finalised.
And the outlook for the final quarter of 2021 continues to look strong, with a raft of transactions in the pipeline for the Corporate Finance team, who provide a range of services, including advice on acquisitions, disposals, management buyouts and due diligence assignments.
