Following on from our top picks from Xero's latest update at the end of 2021, we are entering 2022 with some new and improved functions for the cloud accountancy platform, which will help to make your life easier. Our expert Accounting Solutions team have outlined them below:
Add files in the VAT report
As advisers we love this update. When reviewing VAT returns, it is often useful to look at supporting documents relating to some transactions. Xero have updated the VAT transactions reports to enable users to view, attach and delete supporting documents without having to leave the report.
Pay now banner
Xero have made it easier for customers to pay online invoices by keeping the 'pay now' button visible at the top of the browser as customers scroll through their invoices. This update may be small but we think it will make a huge difference to you getting paid faster.
Contacts
Xero have refreshed the look of the list view in the contacts tab so that you can now see at a glance what customers owe you, including any amounts overdue, together with what you owe your suppliers.
