A stellar performance by Hazlewoods Corporate Finance team has been rewarded with a top slot in the national mergers and acquisitions rankings.
Experian’s newly released M&A report for the third quarter of 2021 names Hazlewoods as the 6th most active adviser in the UK. This is the third consecutive quarter that we have been placed in the top 10.
It comes as the team has calculated its own deal statistics for the first nine months of 2021 and found transactions were up by 52%.
According to Experian, the number of completed deals in the South West were up 40% between January and September 2021, making Hazlewoods figures 12% above the regional average.
In the first three quarters of 2020, Hazlewoods completed 69 transactions valued at £436 million. This year, the figures were 105 deals worth £581 million.
The surge in activity for Hazlewoods, named ‘Advisory Firm of the Year’ at the 2021 Business Leader awards, is not just in the South West.
Growth in the number of deals completed in London, the South East, the East of England, the Midlands and Wales puts Hazlewoods in the top 10 in all five regions, according to Experian.
