Hazlewoods LLP advise on the acquisition by Voyage Care of Ingleby Care

Published: Thursday 28 November 2013

Hazlewoods Corporate Finance, a leading adviser in the Health and Care sector with a significant track record on acquisitions, disposals and raising finance, has recently advised on the acquisition by Voyage Care Limited of Ingleby Care, a specialist care provider based in Warwickshire offering a mix of residential, supported living and domiciliary services throughout the region.  The Hazlewoods team was led by Corporate Finance Partner David Main, assisted by Corporate Finance Manager Richard Pitt.  This is the second acquisition within the last 12 months on which David and Richard have advised Voyage Care, following the acquisition of Independent Living Group earlier this year.

Voyage Care has been a leading provider of support for people with learning disabilities, autism, head and spinal injuries and other complex disabilities for the last 20 years across the UK.  This acquisition sees Voyage Care strengthen its existing presence within the Midlands, funded with existing cash resources.

Hazlewoods was instructed by Voyage Care and worked closely alongside Business Development Director, Peter Battle, and Business Development Manager, Richard Craner, throughout the deal.  Voyage Care’s Chief Executive, Kevin Roberts, commented: “The acquisition represents another important milestone in our growth strategy and it enables us to offer even more people access to high quality, professional care.”  Peter Battle added: “Hazlewoods did an excellent job, providing the necessary clarity on the financials at a granular level.  Many thanks once again, David and Richard.”

David Main commented: “We were delighted to, once again, be involved in Voyage Care’s acquisition of a high quality care provider, and are excited to see Voyage’s growth strategy continue to push forward.  We have built an excellent working relationship with the Business, and look forward to continuing to build on this in the future”.
