Innovation 4 Growth Scheme

Published: Wednesday 5 March 2014

Businesses across the South West are set to benefit from a £4 million funding programme run by the University of the West of England. The programme is available to companies of all sizes across the South West – Bristol, Cornwall, Devon, Dorset, Gloucestershire, Somerset and Wiltshire.

The Innovation 4 Growth scheme will part fund research and development projects with grants of between £25,000 and £150,000. The university will typically fund up to 35% of project costs for SMEs; eligible costs are broad and include project staff salaries and expenditure on materials, capital equipment, tooling, training and market assessment.

To register, businesses need to complete a brief online registration of interest form in the first instance.  An advisor will then contact the business to discuss the potential application and to organise further telephone or face-to-face support, if required.

The application deadline is Monday 10th March 2014 so it is therefore important that businesses express an interest as early as possible. All funding will issued by 30th April 2015.
