Hazlewoods celebrate...
On Thursday 7 December, Joy Elkins and Julia Grubb from our HR team attended The Growth Hub, University of Gloucestershire to accept the Healthy Workplaces Gloucestershire Foundation Level Award on behalf of Hazlewoods!
Healthy Workplaces Gloucestershire support local businesses to develop a healthy workplace and recognises that people are our greatest asset. By providing a healthier workplace we can support our people to be as healthy as they can be, reducing sickness absence from both mental and physical health conditions.
Hazlewoods has been recognised for the work we do to support employees’ health and wellbeing. The accreditation process started in Spring 2023 and involved uploading evidence covering the following aspects of the firm:
- Our organisation (including leadership and culture)
- Health and safety
- Communication
- Recruitment and retention
- Mental wellbeing and stress reduction
- Back pain and prevention
- Stopping smoking
- Alcohol and substance misuse
- Physical activity (including active travel)
- Healthy eating
- Personal safety and environmental health and wellbeing
This is a great endorsement for Hazlewoods and has identified areas in which we can improve to support our employees.
