When I finished sixth form, I found the decision of my next step a difficult one, but Hazlewoods has been the perfect stepping stone for me.  I have been able to learn valuable experience on the job, whilst also receiving excellent support through all of my exams from Hazlewoods.

In just 18 months with the firm I have developed so much, not only as a professional, but as a person as well and I have made some great friends along the way.”

George Spiers, AAT Apprentice

Looking for an alternative to university?

Start your accountancy career as soon as possible.

We recognise that some people want to start their career as soon as possible. If university is not for you, we offer an excellent accountancy apprenticeship which fully supports your journey through the Level 4 AAT qualification.

Our academic requirements are 112 UCAS points earned through A Levels or BTEC, with a Grade 6 / Grade B or above in both Maths and English Language. We support your journey and work alongside a first-class study provider to deliver the best possible teaching and support.

Our level 4 Apprentices study alongside work. Having partnered with First Intuition for a number of years, we have been consistently delighted with the training and personal support that they provide. Tutors are approachable and supportive, giving regular feedback on progress to ensure you’re on the right track.

Hazlewoods pays for all associated study costs, give extra days off for revision and exams and pay all travel expenses.

Whether your interests lie in audit, tax or business advisory, we offer excellent professional experience to build your business skills alongside your theoretical knowledge and match you with a ‘buddy’ mentor to support you.

Once AAT is complete, we hope you will continue your journey with Hazlewoods and continue studying professionally. Those who join our level 4 Apprenticeship from school or college can expect to be a fully qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA) within five years, gaining valuable work experience throughout this time.
