International update: Europe trade month – November 2021

Published: Friday 29 October 2021

According to the office for national statistics, Europe comprises 49% of the UK’s total trade, with 8 out of 10 of the UK’s top export markets located in this area. To help businesses sell their goods or services throughout Europe, the Department for International Trade (DIT) has launched the Europe trade month.

This trade tour aims to excite, inspire and provide UK businesses with the necessary tools to thrive across Europe, by showcasing opportunities, trends and pinpointing the many levels of government support available.

There are over 20 events in the programme, involving tips on exporting under the new trading agreements, market briefings, legal and tax advice and sessions with local experts across the various markets. You can view the complete programme here.

Europe trade month closely aligns with the UK’s first ever international trade week, taking place 15 - 19 November 2021.

The week offers a series of virtual and in person events, hosted by expert trade advisers, parliamentarians and ministers, designed to help business of all sizes learn more about selling globally. All events are now available to view and sign up for here. Businesses are encouraged to get in touch if they have relevant events they would like to organise during the international trade week.
