Case study

Making Tax Digital (MTD) - The VAT legislation

Background: We have recently provided details to all of our clients detailing how the new MTD legislation affects the way that bookkeepers process their data into the bookkeeping software. Following this, a client who is on a cash accounting basis for VAT, approached us to ask for additional support with the transition.

How we helped: This involved changing the way that they had entered data into Sage for many years. We supported them on video meetings, over the phone and through email correspondence, providing them with step by step instructions of how the main changes should be processed into Sage. We explained in simple terms what the changes meant for them and how each one could be addressed.

The outcome: They are now MTD compliant and very thankful!
