Top 100 Businesses in Gloucestershire 2016 announced

Published: Wednesday 29 June 2016

Hazlewoods are pleased to support the launch of the Top 100 Businesses in Gloucestershire supplement, compiled by staff at the Gloucester Citizen, Gloucestershire Echo and Southwestbusiness.co.uk.

Sponsors, guests and members of key county firms gathered for the unveiling of the 2016 supplement, on the morning of 29 June at the Daffodil restaurant in Cheltenham.

What is considered to be one of Gloucestershire’s best-read business bibles has been constructed, seeking to list the top 100 firms in the county, ranked by turnover.

The aim of the supplement is to celebrate the county’s companies, its talent, skills and innovations that drive our economy.

David Williams, Head of the Corporate Services team at Hazlewoods addressed the room at the breakfast gathering and said the event was a welcome distraction from the elephant in the room for business currently – what would happen post EU referendum:

“Hazlewoods is really pleased to be associated with the Top 100. For me, there has been a lot going on in recent weeks and it is good to be able to have something to talk about which is positive, and that is what this publication is all about.”

Andrew Merrell, Editor of the 2016 title, stated: “Without the support of our valued partners, Hazlewoods LLP, BPE Solicitors LLP and the University of Gloucestershire, the supplement simply would not happen.”

As well as supporting the development of the Top 100 list, Hazlewoods were ranked 90th in the county and also have 3 representatives in the Top 30 business influencers in Gloucestershire: Jon Cartwright (Managing Partner), David Williams (Partner) and Ruth Dooley (Partner).
