During her career she has advised a wide range of owner managed businesses, private clients, and UK trusts. In the last 10 years her client focus has been centred around rural businesses, farms, landed estates and equestrian businesses.

Over the last 20 years Hazlewoods has focused their expertise into specific industry sectors with agriculture being one. The Farms and Estates teams provides business and tax advice to approximately 350 farmers and agri-businesses, where farm size ranges from 200 to 7,000 acres with turnover up to £80 million.

Due to the significant diversification taking place within farming and agriculture, Lucie sees many cases of mixed and diversified businesses run through various trading entities.

She has provided advice to families around commercial and tax efficient structuring for the last 20 years as well as tax planning for capital gains tax and inheritance tax.

Since joining Hazlewoods, Lucie has been involved with litigation matters. She has been appointed Single Joint Expert and has prepared Expert Witness reports for divorce and litigation matters within the rural, agricultural and equestrian sector.

Recent experience includes:

• Expert witness in future profitability of a farming/equestrian business in a matrimonial dispute (settled in Court);
• Expert witness in the taxation position for a multi structured, diversified farming business for a matrimonial case.
